Miracles of Faith Ministries-Facts
About the Mangrums: In !967, the founders of Miracles of Faith Ministries, Jimmy and Ruth Mangrum, were called out to help fulfill the Great Commission ( according to Matthew 28:19 and Luke 16:15). They started from Tunica, MS, Ruth’s home county. Since then, for over 40 years now, Brother and Sister Mangrum have endeavored to be faithful to the Lord’s calling, trusting Him as their source. They have always given God’s people an opportunity to be a personal and integral part of their ministry through supporting prayerfully and financially, having direct communication, and in other ways. The work in the ministry of the Mangrums became known as, Miracles of Faith Ministries. It has been varied from the start; encompassing spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial involvement; and always “on call” for the Lord.
Miracles of Faith Ministries: It is a 501-c-3 organization that is founded on the scriptural doctrine of the Holy Bible that was taught by the Apostles themselves in the New Testament. MFM is housed on the Miracles of Faith Mission Base in rural Mississippi near the town of McCool. It is operated by Board Members who love Jesus, and are themselves missionaries, pastors, and Christian workers that are working with a “hands on” approach. Through this ministry, they also support other worthy and faithful ministries that they know, who do the same thing in different parts of the world where God has led them. MFM coordinates, and assists, those ministries to reinforce their efforts and make them more effective.
Outreach: Basically, MFM finds it more suitable to work with people of “like faith”. However, there are many phases of the ministry that reaches out to people regardless of their religious position. For example, if people are victims of a natural disaster (flood, drought, storm), or war, or their house burned, MFM helps them according to opportunity, the leading of the Lord, and ability to do so; becoming a scriptural “neighbor” to them. Also, there are people, here and abroad, who are interested in coming to a better and deeper understanding of God’s Word, but they just need help in different ways while doing so.
